On the 27th of November 2015 the head of the sports council Vicente Colomer visited our Dojo in Jávea to present us with an award for being the biggest club in the whole of the Alicante province and for being one of the largest in the Valencia region. This is the 7th year in succession that the club has been presented with this prestigious award.

At the end of the session all the students lined up with Sensei Geovanny Sánchez facing his students. The head of the sports council then presented Sensei Geovanny with the award accompanied by a huge round of applause from his students. Sensei Geovanny then called three of his students to demonstrate the kata our team has been training to perform in the UK nationals.

Sensei Geovanny said that he was “very proud of each and everyone of his students who had all worked so hard to make the club the success that it is today.  The club is like an extended family and we all help each other with our training and administration.”

This year the club has been joined by Sensei Don Ross 6th Dan from the UK who works alongside Sensei Geovanny and Sensei Sarah Lakin to instruct students in the Washinkai syllabus.
