The gym of the IES nº1 de Xàbia was where mexican maestro, Eduardo Tovar Martínez gave a course for the students and teachers of Washinkai. participating in the course were all 186 students which the club has this year.

The instructor, president and main trainer of the Washinkai Club, Geoganny Sánchez Salazar 4th Dan, gave Vicente Colomer, head of the sports council, the award he received from the Valencian Community in 2016 for being the club with the most students. The club having a total of 157 licenses.
